Research: Vivarium/Pharmacology Operations Manager

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit elusive frontier targets within notorious growth and survival pathways, with particular emphasis on RAS and mTOR signaling pathways. As a new member of the RevMed team, you will join other outstanding scientists who are helping lead our efforts in the discovery and development of new medicines for unmet needs in cancer.


As a key member of our dynamic pharmacology team, you will have proven expertise in:

  • Design and coordination of external and internal pharmacology studies, such as PKPD or efficacy, in CDX, PDX or GEMM models.

  • Standard in vivo pharmacology skills in animal handling and multiple dosing modalities.

  • Ex vivo analyses of tumor samples, including tissue harvest and processing, phosphoprotein/other analyte quantitation using, for example, multiplex platforms, ELISA, Western blot or IHC.

  • Standard data analysis via MS Excel and Prism and generation of reports for presentation.

  • Creation and/or curation of appropriate databases/logs for tracking study status and data archive.

  • Vivarium management and IACUC membership.

  • Managerial responsibility for in vivo pharmacologists.

  • Communication of results/observations to Head of Pharmacology, and where appropriate respective project team.

  • Building and maintaining key vendor relationships.

  • Being the key interface with lab scientists and associates for all vivarium needs including facilities, operations, environmental health & safety, scientific operations, and procurement.

  • Managing vivarium assets (equipment, service contracts, etc.) and supplies, ensuring alignment with budget.

  • Proactively identify, and support implementation of, strategies to enhance efficiencies from study execution through to data analysis and archive.

Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in relevant scientific discipline and 10+ years of experience with pharmacology in an industry environment.

  • Experience with small molecule drug discovery.

  • Rigorous, quantitative, attention to detail, keen to maximize efficiency.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent record keeping skills, and calm under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with project and departmental teams.

  • Innovative, proactive and collaborative team-player with high energy for our small company environment .

  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and work efficiently in a fluid environment.
